An Affidavit of Support I-134 is a form used by a sponsor in order to show that the immigrant he/she is sponsoring has adequate means of financial support and is not likely to become a public charge.
The Affidavit of Support I-134 must be used by sponsors of aliens who do not fall within the definition of 213A of Immigration and Nationality Act. This includes sponsors of students and parolees as well as sponsors of diversity or returning resident applicants.
